Virginia King has been working in the fitness industry since 1994 and teaching Pilates since 2000. She is a fully qualified and insured Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor and Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach.

One to one Pilates sessions or groups of up to 3 are offered in Ickenham. Group Classes for Beginners, Improvers and Advanced clients take place in Eastcote.

With her wealth of experience she is able to advise clients on all matters relating to their fitness as well as provide effective and enjoyable classes for everyone.

Pilates helps you learn good movement patterns and helps to prevent pain caused by poor posture and muscle imbalance. This is achieved by correcting muscle imbalances that arise over time, by stretching and relaxing tight muscles, and by strengthening weak muscles. Pilates is unlike most other forms of exercise that further strengthen muscles that are already tight, which can lead to greater muscle imbalance.

The best way to start Pilates is by giving me a call or contacting me via email. I can then answer any questions you have. If you want to proceed, I will post or email you an enrolment form and a booking form. The enrolment form asks questions about your medical history, current health and fitness levels and what you are looking to achieve through Pilates.

I will also help you determine whether you would best be suited to private 1 to 1 lessons, or a group mat work class environment. It may be that you start with anything from 1 to 3 private lessons before you are able to join a class. This will depend on the availability of beginners classes, your fitness level and any past Pilates experience. I assess you as an individual and your safety and wellbeing are always my number one priority.
